Technology management and innovation in health: the case of HPV Easy Typing for the prevention of Cervical Cancer

Abstract

In the context of the sociology studies of innovation, the paper synthesizes the results of a research whose objective was to describe and analyze the trajectory of the project "HPV Easy Typing, a cancer identification and genotyping kit". For this, the conceptual section of the Actor-Network Theory and its focus on interests were used, which have turned out to be more relevant to approach innovation from this perspective. In addition, lessons learned and challenges in technological management in the Chilean context are extracted.
