Abstract
Violence in a relationship, such as dating, has been the central theme in research projects. This particular paper analyzes the perception that college students have about violence in a dating relationship. The results exhibit that the most common type of aggression consist in controlling
the partner’s life and using hurtful nicknames. Men and women are both aggressors and victims of this psychological and emotional violence.
