CUHSO is a scientific journal of open access (Diamond Route) and continuous publication, edited by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Catholic University of Temuco. It publishes original research articles, essays, and reviews in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, with special interest in the cultural, political, and territorial processes of the Global South.

The journal accepts manuscripts in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Italian, and Mapudungun, all of which undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.

The journal, which publishes its issues on July 31 and December 15, accepts texts in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, and Mapudungun, subjecting them to a double-blind peer review by a minimum of two specialists in the field.
