Abstract
This paper highlights the main contributions of the book of "testimonies of sterilized women" by placing the research in a context of continuity of violence against indigenous peoples, racist discourses that have constituted the modernization projects of the nation state and exclusion criteria for those who did not constitute "desirable citizens" of the national project.
