Abstract

The Latin American Observatory of Environmental Conflicts (OLCA) has carried out a sustained work over time in the visibility of the main consequences, causes, actors, ideologies and capitals that have deepened the extractivist model in Latin America. The enormous persistence to inscribe itself in the questions that emphasize the relations between companies, governments and territories has consolidated it as a very relevant actor in the integration of scientific knowledge, dialogue of knowledge, links with communities and social movements, from an active, lively and amphibious practice of generating public incidence, associativity and the promotion of alternatives to capitalism.
