Abstract

The review of this book is an invitation to rethink the analyses and epistemologies that underlie research related to bodily practices from a historical and decolonial perspective. The authors of the book state that there are European influences and political and cultural contextual resignifications for the installation of the concept of physical culture in Latin American classrooms in the 20th century under the responsibility of local and international referents who, under their power quotas, managed to install the references of the discipline of physical education in teacher training.
